Deeply unsettling, deeply problematic film from Kathyrn Bigelow and writer Mark Boal, who also did "The Hurt Locker" and "Zero Dark Thirty." As many have pointed out, the torture of the black characters borders on exploitive, and you do wonder why they couldn't have a black filmmaker involved. John Boyega (the new "Star Wars" series) gives a great performance.
