McLean's parents got divorced two years ago, and since then she's lived in four town and gone to four different schools -- and been four different versions of herself. McLean likes to take on a new name and a new personality in each new place, knowing it won't last long enough for her to get attached. This time, however, chance forces McLean to be herself for a change, and she begins to face the issues her parents' divorce landed her with.
