Wow. This book was not what I expected it to be. Yes, it’s very informative; but it’s borderline scary. This novel truly exposes the harsh reality that by the use of our common household products we are voluntarily poisoning ourselves and drastically lowering our overall health. From plastic water bottles to shampoo and laundry detergent to even children’s toys, Jenkins explains how every product in our lives is having an impact on our quality of life. And sadly, most of those impacts are negative. This book however not only addresses problems it also provides numerous resources that you can use to help change the way you purchase products. It even gives helpful tips on how to discern between harmful products and has a list of certain ingredients to look for when purchasing things. This book, however frightful that it may seem, is definitely of value for anyone to read. It is very well written and easy to read. It’s divided into chapters for different types of products and it always provides a solution to the problem that it addresses. In conclusion: Worth the read! Enlightening, informative and straightforward.
