I have seen the trailer for this many times, and have watched a few amvs with Jim on YouTube. I decided it was time to see this movie, so I watched it with my entire family. I am happy to say that I enjoyed it. Although no where near the Disney classics (Pinocchio, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, etc.), it was a great movie that caught my interest. I loved Jim from the beginning. I can tell he's had a rough life, and longs for more than what his life is right now: the robo-police on his back, his boring life of work (*gasp*) at his mother's inn, and a father who left him as a boy and never returned (which was a possibility to be discussed throughout the movie and tie it together with Treasure Planet, but that's rather cliche and I'm glad they didn't do that. Besides, that's what fan fiction is for. ;D). He's very relateable, and I liked him a lot because he had guts and sarcasim and had that common teenage air about him, but you can tell that he loves his mom and longs for the adventures of discovering Treasure Planet. He has a good emotional complex too. Besides that, I love Captain Amelia. XD Anyway, watch this. It's likely you'll enjoy it.
