I came to this book late after reading
an obit about the author’s life.
“A Round-Heeled Woman” reads like fiction, but
The well-written memoir is , if not shocking , stark
In its details.
Juska writes like a dream..smooth, funny and honest.
And that would be enough for me..but the storyline
Is an original.
Juska’s reckless quest late in life “for lots of sex” with a man she likes
belies her intelligence and history. Does she succeed? Was it worth it?
It certainly is for the modern reader.
