Forming as a band (with their original name being "Daddy") in 1969 - Britain's "Supertramp" quickly abandoned their progressive rock beginnings in favour of a more commercial and mainstream sound that would guarantee their tunes received plenty of AM-radio airplay on both sides of the Atlantic. Headlined by the songwriting talents of duo, Rick Davies (keyboardist) and Roger Hodgson (bass & vocals) - To date, Supertramp's albums have sold over 60 million copies, worldwide. Their best-selling album of all was 1979's "Breakfast In America" which, alone, has sold over 20 million copies. This "Best Of" CD contains 15 tracks in all (recorded between the years of 1974-1985). Three of my favourite tunes are - Bloody Well Right, Give a Little Bit and Dreamer. *Trivia note* - Supertramp's name came from the title of Welsh, writer/poet, William Davies' book "The Autobiography Of A Super-Tramp" which was published back in 1908.
