Good acting but way too mushy for me. If you're looking to get all emotional, this would be the movie for you. Excellent performers and well done....just too squishy for my taste.

Some parts were too unbelievable for me. I guess it's got a Christian theme. I get that but maybe a bit too much of feel-good in one movie.

Renee Z is barely recognizable after all her cosmetic surgeries. Don't get me wrong; she does look great...but very different from before. I'd not have recognized her if her name was not listed in the movie.

I couldn't get myself to watch past 20 minutes. Great actors can only carry a bad script and directing so far. This one really didn't get very far.

I never leave comments but often read them so this is a first. I didn’t know what to think about this movie before I watched it because of the mixed reviews but this IS a good movie. It doesn’t matter if you recognize Rene Zellwiger, or find it unrealistic. It’s a movie that we all need to see to be reminded of what really matters: love. It’s a love story, not a romantic story; a love story. And if it will encourage you to live that out a little more, than it’s worth the time you took to sign it out.

It was a lovely story of learning to accept people. Good acting by all, good script, good soundtrack. Because it is about timely issues (and answers such as questions as Are members of the KKK good people? and We got rid of slavery in the 1800s, right?) not everyone will like this movie. If you are politically liberal and/or try to live by the New Testament, you will like this.

This might sound funny, but I was about half in the movie wondering where is Rene Zellweger? I thought she was acting in this one. I paused the movie and look it up online. I was stunned, Rene was the leading actress and half in the movie I did not recognize her!! Shocking what plastic surgery can do - change a person. I guess it was a successful surgery - the actress is unrecognizable, only the name is the same. Sadness how this society and Hollywood can take control over one's life. You are not aging well? Well sorry no roles for a scalpel please.
Anyway, the movie was incredibly boring and I could not finish it (and it was not cos of the strangely looking face of Rene).
A friend of mine recommended this movie to me, but sadly I cannot recommend it to you.

Incredibly unrealistic and booooring.

Bittersweet movie based on real story is easy on the brain and eyes. This movie could work as a bookend pair along with "I Can Only Imagine." Not sure what happened to "Bridget Jones" (rhinoplasty/botox/filler?) however Renee looked good enough to this guy without the face job.

weird title but good movie for family.

Great movie. Kind of slow to start but grabs you and pulls you in. Emotionally charged.

I felt like this movie was true to the spirit of what Ron Hall and Denver Moore shared in the book about their friendship. I appreciated moments of the movie when there were no words, so they didn't try to wedge them in. It was a touching tribute.
