I enjoyed this collection of science fiction short stories. Anders does a good job of setting up a weird little world within each one. The one I think about most is the time travelling assassin story but that's mostly because it was an exploration of an idea that I found intriguing (there wasn't much story to it). I also enjoyed the title story, which was about competing forms of precognition and memory in a relationship. My least favourite was the story that tied in with Anders' novel All the Birds in the Sky, but that's mostly because I felt like it didn't work on its own; the villains didn't really make sense without the depth of the novel. But if you like cats and cryptic mages and luck, then you might enjoy it muchly.
