Loved the premise and many of the comments so decided to give it a try. Not what I expected - wanted more on the "gifts" and way less of the family drama, especially the whole con-artist game. Got half-way through hoping for more about Maureen and her past - she seemed the most interesting character.

Excellent read.

A family of gifted psychics are debunked live on TV and their lives are never the same. Each member of the family has their demons. Intertwined in their stories is an intricately crafted mystery. Funny and original.

I loved this book. The combination of quirky family drama/comedy, extra-sensory powers and and inept criminal behavior kept me reading very late at night

I did not finish book; it was a chore to read, so I stopped.

This one moved a little slower than I expected but, in the end, I really enjoyed it. An unexpected twist at the end clinched it!

This one is a slow-burner at the beginning but don't let that fool you. I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first but I soon grew to love the characters and all of their many quirks. Eventually, I found myself constantly picking up the book because I just couldn't wait to see how everything turned out for them. A wonderful book about a very interesting and totally unique family.

Couldn't finish this book. I'm almost 100 pages into the story, but I am finding so many parts of it (most of it) terribly boring. It's a long book, so maybe things will pick up? I hate stopping books when I am past a chapter into them, and I've heard this book is great so I don't really want to give up ... but I am just really not feeling it! Maybe I'll come back to it another day. For now, leaving it at DNF at 77pgs.

Wonderful premise, superb quality of writing, but it was shockingly boring.

Spoonbenders is a twisty treat. Its got mobsters, government secret missions, psychics, time travelers and most of all a loving family dynamic with a ton of crazyness thrown in. I loved the characters in the Telemachus family, each with their own special ability. I had to read this book in several sittings and I couldn't wait to get back to it each time.
