I really liked this! The world building was perfect, and the sci-fi aspects wholly believable. It's a great choice if you want to start a discussion about the environment and technology, but it's also a really well executed thriller. Finally, I love the way Pon weaves food throughout her stories, and this book is full of tasty sounding snacks!

In the foreseeable future, our actions have led to a polluted and inhabitable planet. To adapt to these changes, many companies such as Jin Corp, sell special suits that pump out regulated oxygen.  Jin Corp is determined to profit from these dire circumstances and they will stop at nothing to eliminate those who go against their beliefs. Unfortunately, due to the substantial costs of the suits, only the rich can afford to prolong their lives. After witnessing the deaths of many poor citizens, Jason Zhou (the protagonist) decides to stop Jin Corp once and for all. With some help, Jason decides to infiltrate Jin Corp by disguising as a rich boy. To gain access, Jason must first get Daiyu, the daughter of Jin Corp’s CEO, to fall in love with him. As Jason spends time with Daiyu, he begins to forget the purpose of his mission. Words cannot describe how much I loved this book. I loved everything about it, especially how it reminds the readers of what might happen if we continue to show disregard for the environment. I guarantee you that this book will be the next big thing.
