This is a fantastic environmentally-geared children's book. The illustrations are great as is the information conveyed. I highly recommended it for any child interested in science and nature, and it's also great for any kiddo afraid of bees.

LOVE THIS BOOK! Hilarious and so informative! Did you know it takes two million flowers to make one pound of honey? Or that bees have two stomachs and 5 eyes? We need to save our bees and this book is a good start! If you get this book from SLPL swing by the pollinator garden. Those furrows that look like irrigation areas are actually homes for some of the burrowing bees. (After reading this book I am not sure which type: mining or squash or cellophane bees?)
Give bees a chance!!! Read this book!!!

This is a fun story about honeybees and other bees. The illustrations are well done, and the information is good, except the advice, "Blow gently on bees to make them scatter." Don't do that around a hive. It can provoke the bees.
