Written in simple poetry, a wonderful way to expose young children to a variety of print. I love the artwork in this book, too!

A beautifully rendered title for the introduction of animals seeking refuge in their homes. The presence of danger is felt with the rabbits running and hiding from the wolves but all is well in the end. Stunning illustrations.

The illustrations in this quiet story are absolutely magical. While there is a lot of unfamiliar vocabulary, children will be able to decipher the meaning through the illustrations. I loved how the end scenes came together at the end, featuring each of the animals. It also includes a great message. Could be used for younger children, especially to practice narrating through pictures, or for older children, paying close attention the rhymes and vocabulary.

Sophisticated poetry and exquisite images make this book noteworthy. Ages 4-7
