Poorly presented. Hard to keep up with what's happening.

A sleazy woman who interferes in a loveless marriage, a man that thinks he's untouchable because he has money and power, the ex-wife who's obsessed with germs (this coming from a Pediatrician); people run with your kids from this whack job, and let's not leave out the brat who wants to get rid of things (on Ebay) that belonged to his half sister who died, and tells the stepmother it's not needed anymore.
Terrible movie.

I found that this movie made me sad but not necessarily in a bad way. I thought it was a realistic portrayal of what happens to people when hardships are piled up on them. I thought the actors did a good job and I liked the pace at which the story moved along. In the end, it was a heartwarming story about coping with adversity, learning how to move on and appreciating the people in our lives.

Wow! Very well done. You haven't seen a movie with so many people to hate in it in a long time. From the self-absorbed home wrecking other woman, Emilia to the bitter jealous ex-wife you want to take out that scarf and strangle them all.
It is easy to imagine that this is what really goes on in families where divorce happens.
Lots of snarling, cat fighting and gut cutting tension throughout. Very good casting and direction. Will hold your attention to the end.

A great movie to watch with serious film folks. Not a girly flick, so guys you will be right in there too. Enjoy.

It was O.K for a home TV movie. I was entertained. But it was NOT worth a long library wait or the
price to rent from a Red Box.

Not the most overly dramatic of stories. I did'nt feel for these characters- but I wasnt bored either. So I would rate as a B-

This generally got good reviews. I think the fact that the baby dies possibly blinded people to it's flaws. It's an emotional minefield, but badly put together and acted. Natalie Portman runs the emotional gamut from angst to anguish. She does do a good job of the slightly impatient resignation in caring for a child with which you have no connection. Cohen's portrayal of the husband makes the character a complete cipher. Why does Portman even want him? They have no "chemistry," he's a complete jerk, cheats on his wife, has no time for his kid, and finally cuts her loose at her time of greatest need. Lisa Kudrow, a much better actor than anyone gives her credit for, does a terrific job with a miniscule part, playing first a wife somewaht crazed by betrayal and vengeance, and then the extremely delicate part of the person who must help someone you don't like. Whether Charlie Tahan is a good actor is open to question: his part is written so inconsistently that nobody could do well with it.
