Two abandoned souls are on the hunt for one powerful man. Soon, their paths will cross and lead to one twisted fate.

Danny Hansen is a Bosnian immigrant who came to America with hopes of escaping haunted memories of a tragic war that took his mother's life. Now he's a priest who lives by a law of love and compassion. It is powerful men and hypocrites who abide by legal law but eschew the law of love that most incense Danny. As an avenging angel, he believes it is his duty to show them the error of their ways, at any cost.

Renee Gilmore is the frail and helpless victim of one such powerful man. Having escaped his clutches, she now lives only to satisfy justice by destroying him, regardless of whom she must become in that pursuit.

But when Danny and Renee's paths become inexorably entangled things go very, very badly and neither of them may make it out of this hunt alive.

Judge not, or you too will be judged.

Suspense thriller about a man - after a harrowing experience where his family was killed in Bosnia - becomes a priest and decides to become an "avenging angel" to rid the world of "evil" men. His exploits lead to meet up with a young women, who has demons of her own, and they become a "team". One of their targets may or may not be a man who runs a foundation and his henchmen. The novel is very graphic in describing some of the violent scenes. So so.

this is my first dekker book, and I found it impossible to put down & downright harrowing. I will be hunting down other boooks by him, as I find him somewhat similar to dean koontz, a fave author. Recommend it, but don'y start it until you don't have other things to do! I found the last couple of chapters an emotional roller coaster!

This was my first Ted Dekker book because someone told me his writing was similar to Frank Peretti. Not sure I see the similarity, but it was still good enough I'll try a couple more of his books.
I did find a few situations where I thought the characters were making conclusions based on information I didn't believe they actually had so it was a little unbelievable at times, but the story was good enough that I could overlook those points.

I loved this book by Ted Dekker! I have read many many of his books and have found some of them are alright but some of them you just can't put down and this was one of them for me. I finished this book in just 2 days ( stopping only to sleep haha :) ) I really enjoyed this one and found it similar in material to his book blink.

I thought this book was rubbish. I mistakenly believed the hyped reviews by other well-known authors printed on the back cover and then realized they probably didn't even read the book, they simply work with the same publisher. Skip this one

Have yet to be disappointed by Ted Dekker. If you're looking for a thriller without the blood and gore of typical horror books, he will be your must-read author.

Not bad, your garden variety thriller plot I suppose....
