Chef Georgia Gray has everything a woman could want - the top job at one of Manhattan's best restaurants; a posse of smart and savvy pals who never let her down; and a platinum-set, cushion-cut diamond engagement ring courtesy of Glenn, the handsome entertainment lawyer Georgia's overbearing mother can't wait for her to marry. But when a scathing restaurant review destroys her reputation, and Glenn suddenly calls off the wedding, Georgia takes her bruised ego to Tuscany where she sharpens her skills at a trattoria run by a world-class chef who seems to have it all.

In Tuscany, she meets Gianni, the sexy owner of the wine shop next door, and receives a very tempting offer - one that might even entice her to give up her dream of going back to New York to salvage her reputation and open her own restaurant.

A good story. I liked learning about the different level of chefs in a kitchen. Found the first part of the book very detailed and the last part of the book VERY rushed. Georgia's friends were great characters. I question the use of "G" names for so many characters: Georgia, Grammie, Glenn, Gianni.

This story is a great tale of a woman, Georgia, overcoming all obstacles to get what she wants. A strong reminder that we all deserve good things and that, sometimes, we really just need to believe in ourselves to get them.

This is a funny, light read. Anyone who's ever worked in the food industry will enjoy the 'back of house' antics, and readers who enjoy good food and dining will find their mouth watering as Nelson describes dish after gourmet dish turned out by her chef main character, Georgia.
