I really enjoyed this movie and I can see why it won Oscars for the performances. I read a little about the piano performances and Geoffrey Rush actually played most of the piano pieces, except for the really difficult parts.

Love this movie. Sadness in the story but there is beauty that comes out of it. Many people would not know of Mr. Helfgott if he had just been another concert pianist. If you are interested in his story you should see "I am David" on Netflix.

I don't know what the hype was about. This movie is so-so.
