Amazing story about survival.

This is a true story / accident , every part of it is correct , it is well worth watching. If you watch to a little bit before the credits you even get to see Aron Ralston ( the person that this movie is about ) . My score for this movie is 6 stars or 7 stars out of 5 stars.
He must have felt like he had been put through basic training for the special forces. When you see Aron Ralston you see a few things. He did not loose his whole arm , I will not tell you anymore than that more. I think that this is a good tell what happened movie.

Spoiler ALERT!!!!! Koff! My sister said that the guy chops off his own arm! :(

This is a 2010 survival docudrama directed, co-written, and produced by Danny Boyle, based on the real events.
It is about canyoneer Aron Ralston who becomes trapped by a boulder in an isolated slot canyon in Blue John Canyon, southeastern Utah, in April 2003.
When I viewed it halfway through, I suddenly remembered to read the news about this incident.
What an unlucky accident and a terrible outcome!
What a pity!

I dont get why people put 'boring', well no kidding, how do you think Aron felt? I personally think it was perfect because it makes you feel bored, scared, insane, lathargic & the many other emotions that Aron went through.
I was totally impressed & would never go anywhere without telling someone where & when to expect me back.
I truly hope those who find this 'boring' at least get the lesson from it, if not, they're hopeless.

Excellent. Seeing it for the 2nd time, and still excellent. For those who said it was boring, really? What were you expecting, that he would do cartwheels? How much action or excitement can you really expect when the subject is standing in the same spot for 5 days? Really!!

Lizzy Caplan steals the show

This is a lame movie. I always wondered how they could make a movie about this and the truth is they can’t. Very boring and very long and drawn out. You can watch the first 10 minutes, the middle 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes. Don’t waste your time with this one.

i heard that when james franco was doing the scene about cutting his arm, he litery stayed there in the rock for a full day just so he could be really tired and fatigue like in the real story. Bravo. A little boring but hey, james franco made up for it

Wow. What an incredible true story. And what a great performance by James Franco. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him as an actor. To carry an entire movie by himself, as the lone actor, with such depth of emotion and for it to feel so real. Wow. Really fantastic job! When he was cutting off his arm, it was excruciating for me to watch. I kept putting my hands over my mouth and felt like looking away but I couldn't. The movie at times was a little boring, and I think they could have done a little more with the flashbacks. But James Franco is so good that it kept me watching. Glad Aron survived and now leaves notes to let people know where he's going.

Liked this movie, but didn't. I always have a difficult time watching a director try to bring to the screen, someone's hallucinations, which was a large part of the movie. Not to mention, the visually "artistic" manner in which drinking water and/or urine is filmed. Interesting, and worth watching, but at certain times, a bit distracting.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: There's alot of gore! I remember near the end, me and my friends looked away, and were screaming! We weren't afraid of the horror movies we watched, but that one scene was very gory!

Violence: no violance but grusome parts.

Aron Ralston: You know, I've been thinking. Everything is... just comes together. It's me. I chose this. I chose all of this. This rock... this rock has been waiting for me my entire life. In its entire life, ever since it was a bit of meteorite a million, billion years ago up there In space. It's been waiting, to come here. Right, right here. I've been moving towards it my entire life. The minute I was born, every breath I've taken, every action has been leading me to this crack on the earth's surface.
