Like Waldo, our walrus hides in each picture. This is a humorous adventure with elegant collage-like illustrations.

This is a wordless book but can bring so much fun. It can stimulate young kids to use their own eyes and minds to discover where's the smart walrus and his friend, penguin and where's the zoo gatekeeper. My 2-year-old loves reading it and I love to explain the same book in different ways.

Our title character first hides in a fountain, pretending to be a mermaid, next we see him in a diner, then a store window. The zookeeper is close behind, but never quite sees through the disguises. Will you?

This is a very clever little picture book about a walrus who escapes from the zoo and the zookeeper who is trying to recapture him. The walrus proceeds to hide using a series of clever hats. The ending will make you smile.

The would be a great book to read with a child and have them describe what they see or "find the walrus". And even young children could read it to themselves. Very nice book.

The pictures are beautiful, and simply done. It has no words so you tell the story from the perspective of the walrus or the zookeeper and it can be as long or as short, simple or as complicated as you make it. My 16 mo toddler loves this book. We've 'read' it several times a day for two months.
