There was a twist at the end, but it was a bit tedious to get there. Wish I'd read the below comment before I chose this installment to start with this series!

If this had been the first book I had read by this author, I would never have finished it. Most of the characters are engaging in, planning or wishing for immorality. As well, the good guys are often really bad guys, and the bad guys are even worse than you thought. If her next book is as bad as this, she will be taken off my list of favourites.
