In Sincerely Sophie, eleven year old Sophine Turner goes to a private school called Victor with her little sister, Haley. Sophie's life had been almost perfect until sixth grade started. Her best friend Jessie ditched her for a group of popular kids that don't seem to like her very much, and her parents are seperating. "Why did dad have to leave the apartment?" " Why doesn't Jessie want to hang out with me anymore?" Now, Sophie's life seems more confusing than ever. When Sophie's teacher announces that the class will be participating in a nationwide pen-pal activity project, Sophie had a second thought. She later finds that her pen-pal, Katie, is the only person she trusts all of her secrets with. In Sincerely Katie, eleven year old Katie Franklin thought that her parents have never really understood her. The only person she can possibly turn to is her best friend Jake and her Aunt Jean, but lately her friend seemed more intersted in another girl and her aunt seems distracted often. Her spirits brightened when she realized that her pen-pal, Sophie might really understand her.
