You haven't read a thriller until you read #1 New York Times bestselling author Sue Grafton's novels with her unforgettable P.I. Kinsey Millhone...

C IS FOR CALCULATED

How do you go about solving an attempted murder when the victim has lost a good part of his memory? It's one of Kinsey's toughest cases yet, but she never backs down from a challenge. Twenty-three-year-old Bobby Callahan is lucky to be alive after a car forced his Porsche over a bridge and into a canyon. The crash left Bobby with a clouded memory. But he can't shake the feeling it was no random accident and that he's still in danger...

C IS FOR CRIME

The only clues Kinsey has to go on are a little red address book and the name "Blackman." Bobby can't remember who he gave the address book to for safekeeping. And any chances of Bobby regaining his memory are dashed when he's killed in another automobile accident just three days after he hires Kinsey.

C IS FOR CORPSE

As Kinsey digs deeper into her investigation, she discovers Bobby had a secret worth killing for--and unearthing that secret could send Kinsey to her own early death...

I like Kinsey Milhone, and that is partly in thanks to readers Mary Peiffer and Judy Kaye. I love both of their voices and , to me, they Are Kinsey. A reader can either enhance a book or ruin it. I have had many audio books that I just couldn't listen to because of the reader.
I also love Sue Grafton's detective. She is smart and funny, capable and tough while still having a feminine softness, I like that, it's like a real woman not someone trying to act like man.

Even though she's written 26 books with the same character, I still enjoy her writing & sense of humor. Nothing deep or mysterious, just enjoyable reading. Always good readers.

We love to listen to the Kinsey Milhone stories while traveling or running around town on weekends. For years we've listened to Judy Kaye, but now for some reason they've changed to this reader and she just doesn't do Kinsey justice. We had some stories from the library read by this new reader and took them all back without listening. Very disappointing. Bring back Judy Kaye!

Lovely story where Kinsey gets emotionally involved with her client. When he is killed, she continues to investigate to finds out who is behind it.

Another fun adventure for the heroine, Kinsey Millhone. Not as lighthearted as the By-the-Numbers series by Janet Evanovich, but still a good read.
