Everything in Winnie the witchs house is black--the carpet, the chairs, and even the bathtub. Of course her cat Wilbur is black, except for his bright-green eyes. Whenever Wilbur closes his eyes and tries to take a catnap, Winnie stumbles right over him. One day, Winnie gets an idea: What if Wilbur were a different color?

My 5 year old granddaughter has recently become afraid of witches, so this book was wonderful for her as it shows that witches can be loving and caring. She loved it! And, I see that it is a series so I will be borrowing others for her.
