The Life of the Navajo looks at the fascinating lives of this nation of people who call themselves Dineh (Din#65533;), which means the people. The first Navajos migrated to the Southwest region during the 1400s. They built seasonal hogans, and survived as nomadic hunter-gatherers. Eventually, the Navajo began to farm and raise flocks of sheep. Children will learn about:* the daily lives of Navajo men, women, and children* Navajo games and celebrations* how the lives of the Navajo varied from season to season* the construction of traditional and modern hogans* how sheep's wool was woven into blankets and rugs
