Cute, fun, and innocuous, NATIONAL SECURITY is a comedy about a police academy delinquent who uses racial tensions to put an upstanding officer in prison only to join forces with him upon release. They don't make silly films like this anymore (and if they do, I haven't heard of them or seen them). For some good chuckles, I recommend NATIONAL SECURITY.

Fun movie about attitude, cops, blacks, even racist criminals. It wears a bit thin after a while but it's something of a hoot until then.

This film is able to make fun of the very serious and very real issues of police brutality and racial stereotypes. Martin Lawrence and Steve Zahn make a pretty good comedic team.
