I think its great that there is someone else in Seattle who really digs Jimi. Everytime I go past the 1rst Baptist Church, I say to myself, that's where Jimi's funeral was held. And, I think it's a pity that his statue, on Broadway, is so mini-sized. My favorite of Jimi's songs is REMEMBER, from the GREATEST HITS. I just love the Chuggah-Chuggah rhythm of the guitar, and I don't miss the usual pyrotechnics. The words are so meaningful to me. In fact, try this experiment: play Jimi's REMEMBER, and Lennon 's REMEMBER, over and over, again, alternating. I am sure that doing this will lead to enlightenment, and a better day. Aw shucks.....
KCLS patrons over many years have left 5 words describing Jimmy Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland"! I love that they were all very favorable, but rock fans, this is one of the best rock albums ever. "All Along the Watchtower" is fantastic and no one even touches the Hendrix version. I bought this album back in the 70's and played it until the grooves gave out. I still love the album now on cd. Jimmy Hendrix was born in Seattle and I for one am proud to list this as possibly is best album ever. Go ahead and challenge me. There hasn't been much attention to our hometown star in a long time!
this is gonna rock
