SOOOOO FUNNY! Love this book! Great for all ages. Love the whimsy and how the kids still get to learn about the farm animals.
Farmer Brown is going on vacation. He leaves his friend Bob behind to keep an eye on the farm. Farmer Brown leaves plenty of notes and warns him to watch out for Duck who is a trouble maker. Duck finds the pencil Farmer Brown drops and replaces the notes with ones of his own including telling Bob that Tuesday is pizza night. Bob follows all of Ducks "instructions" until Farmer Bob calls to check in and Duck answers the phone. Realizing that Duck is upto his tricks again, Farmer Brown races home early.
The illustrations are fun and colorful with plenty of smiles and smirks from the animals.
In this sequel to Click Clack Moo, Duck is completely in charge, I suppose because he is the one who can write. There is no participation from the ther animals other than enjoying their treats which takes away from the story. And although this story was cute and funny, it did not have as much zing as the first one. Young children will enjoy the humor of a duck being in charge.
i thought it was funny when the farmer got mad!
This is my 3-year old son's favorite book. He just can't read it enough
A funny, clever book about what happens when Farmer Brown goes on vacation and Duck gets hold of a pencil. Part of the Click, Clack, Moo series, so this one is fun for the kids and parents.
Farmer Brown is away and the animals decide to play.
Just as cute as the other stories by this author.
