darth maul does live because he is in the clone wars

By far the weakest Star Wars movie. There are some good scenes, but there's too much Jar Jar. If Lucas thinks Jar Jar was necessary for little kids, then he completely missed why his original movie was so beloved.

This was quite a disappointment: the dialogue was very stiff, even amateurish, and the characters rather flat (or quite annoying (Jar Jar)), and the plot rather boring. The visuals were, on the other hand, were extraordinary.

The story was interesting. Really? Anakin has no father? Ha! The only story that had a mother with no physical father was of Our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of GOD; that's it. Other than that, it wasn't a bad movie.

Jar Jar Binks's humor was annoying and bland but kids will find it amusing. The backstory of Anakin was good to know. The story can get busy but in summary, it's simple. Some aspects of this film I did not agree with but the battle to reclaim Naboo was entertaining and I loved Qui-Gon Jinn's part in the film. Overall, it is a good watch but it is not an amazing film.

The fact that this film inspired Weird Al Yankovic's parody song "The Saga Begins" is enough to warrant it as an acceptable introduction to the Star Wars "franchise."

I've heard many negative reponses and a few positive responses about this movie and it's characters. But i love sound and visuals, so i'll deal with that. I'm proud to say that this film looks and sounds fantastic with THX on your HOMETHEATER!!!! One of my favorite scenes for audio is the pod race. I was blown away by the sounds of the roaring engines at the starting line. My subwoofers imitated the power in those vehicles as they started their engines and took off. The visuals were also stunning as they traveled along their course. I also liked the way "Darth Maul" looked as the bad guy with his double ended light saber. That was a nice touch. My friend said his death was a little corny, but what are you going to do. My friend liked the huge battle scene between Jar-Jar's buddies and the robots. She liked the way they looked and the way some of the weapons sound. I agree! I'm giving this movie 4 stars. Excellent sound, great visuals, totally cool villians, and a good story. Jimmy Dean sausages, several slices of whole wheat bread, and grape jelly. Vanilla almond ice cream in blender.

Anakin: Are you an angel?
Padme: What?
Anakin: An angel. I've heard the deep space pilots talk about them. They live on the moons of Iego, I think. They're the most beautiful creatures in the universe.
Padme: You're a funny little boy. How do you know so much?
Anakin: I listen to all the traders and star pilots who come through here. I'm a pilot, you know, and someday I'm going to fly away from this place.
