From the author whose work The New Yorker calls strong and timeless, True to Form tenderly follows a 14-year-old girl's lessons in life after the death of her mother.

Add a CommentFinal book in the trilogy. Katie learns some life lessons
I've never known a teenager like Katie Nash. And yet, Katie Nash is exactly the 13-year-old I was, and every 13-year-old girl I've ever known. That's how perfectly Elizabeth Berg paints the character, coupling all the complexities and uncertainties of being a teen with the fresh insights of one on the brink of adulthood. I don't typically like slice-of-life books, where the reader is dropped into a character's life at some random point and sticks around observing for a while as the character lives a relatively normal, uneventful life. But Berg's writing is so appealing and Katie is such a well-drawn, "true-to-form" character that I felt very connected to her and to the story.
Another great book from Elizabeth Berg. She is a very perceptive writer and an interesting and enjoyable read always about people, ordinary (extraordinary) people. Never too depressing and always something to learn about life and self.
Thank you Elizabeth Berg for creating yet another great story about Katie! True to Form is so true to you! An enjoyable light read with some great food for thought and reflection on oneself. If you are a fan of Durable Goods and Joy School then this book is a MUST for you! Read it!
One of my favorites!
