I thought the book The Wanderer was pretty good. I loved the characters personalities and how there was adventure and suspense in parts. Although I enjoyed the book a lot, in my opinion it is not the best by Sharon Creech.

This book did not win a newberry medal. It won a newberry honor in 2001. The Newberry Medal book of 2001 is actually A Year Down Yonder by Richard Peck.

Sophie is the only girl aboard in this mystical, comical voyage across the sea to England with her three uncles and two cousins, the know-it-all brainy busybody Brian and charming, capricious, comical Cody. Her mysterious past leads her on her quest for England and discovery of the hazy tragedy she willed herself to forget. It's not all mystic; get reading for a rambunctions adventure across the sea.
