My four-year-old loves that the story has her name in it. She also likes all the different dogs depicted. She hasn't requested this story much, though, perhaps because there isn't a plot or anything. It's about a girl measuring all aspects of her dog, from size, to leap height, to how much she eats, etc. I liked that it talks about standard measurements (inches, cm, lbs) and non-standard measures (ie: a tail is 5 dog biscuits long). I think this book will be fun to re-examine when my daughter is doing a little more detailed math in years to come.
