This was an unexpected surprise. I ordered this book on accident, but it turned out to be a wonderful resource. It brought up many themes that are not touched on in your doctor's office and brought you an understanding of medical practices that are executed today in a new light. Guiding you to make your own judgements with full information. I truly enjoyed this book. Yes, some parts seemed a bit bias, but aren't we bombarded by opinions already in a medical setting?! Its nice to know you are getting more than the party line. I highly recommend.

This book is good if you are already convinced to use the Bradley Method for childbirth. But I didn't appreciate how it spoke in a negative or condescending way about people who were not successful in having completely unmedicated births or that ended up requiring an intervention. Also some of the information is quite dated so I would probably search for a more up to date resource. Lots of graphic photos which made it hard to read on the bus without thinking I was making the person behind me uncomfortable!
