Great movie! I don't know what that other review is talking about, this movie is great.

It’s unfortunate the 72+ lady did not continue watching the movie past the point she mentions in her review. Because she missed out not only on watching an incredible heartwarming story, but also on seeing the exceptional talent of the…

Be careful before you start to watch this film. I was concerned from the beginning…a 5 year old poor boy trapped on a train in India who ends up alone 1500km from his home before a woman seems to offer kindness as she sets him up for a…

Wonderful, moving, powerful, emotions "like thunder as deep as the ocean". Sunny Pawar that plays 5-yr-old Saroo is perfect!

Ok, I'm sentimental, cry fairly easily and am moved with stories like this. I'd seen it previously and a second viewing was no disappointment. Dev Patel is wonderful to watch.

Read the book and then watched the movie. This film, based on a true story, is set in India and Australia and follows the book pretty closely. It's a story about a lost young boy and the resiliency of the human spirit to survive. Amazing…

The true story couldn’t be more fascinating. But alas, director Garth Davies felt the need to smother this adaptation of Saroo Brierley’s biography with so much schmaltz and syrup that it is all but impossible to distinguish facts from…

I’ve seen this several times and still get choked up watching it. It’s based on a true story of Saroo, a young Indian boy who gets lost and is later adopted by an Australian couple. Then as an adult, he searches for his family of origin…

This is an incredible film top to bottom, front to back: very well done. The visuals, camera-work, cutting, pacing, scripting, on-screen performances, are each spot on and masterfully put together. It touches on the value of family,…

An amazing journey of Saroo, a young boy lost in India, who is eventually adopted and raised by an Australian couple. As an adult, he seeks to find his biological family by piecing together bits of memories. The outstanding performance…

A beautiful, powerfully-acted film. Great performances by everyone, including 5-year-old Sunny. I've seen this movie three times now and loved it every time. The story is powerful -- both uplifting and sobering -- the writing is very good…

Hollywood thinks they'll get more cash in making 'TRUE STORY' films. The gist of this one is: Boy get's lost, boy get's adopted, boy turns 25, boy has 5 or 6 bedroom scenes with girl, boy returns to India by way of seeing the country…

Sometimes the best thing a film can do is stay out of its story's way, and this is what Lion mostly does for the experiences of Saroo Brierly. Inevitably perhaps, the experiences of lost children in India have been softened down in the…

A terrific feel-good movie that makes one want to stand up and cheer at the end--even if you are in a crowded theater. Caution: you will need a napkin to dab away the tears of joy.
