Events › Olympic Opening Ceremonies Watch Party

Join us in Council Chambers for a fun come-and-go event to watch the opening of the 2026 Winter Olympics, and cheer on Team Canada! 

Doors will open at 11 am, and the countdown to the opening ceremonies begins at 11:30 am. We'll have popcorn, temporary tattoos, a book display and some fun Olympic-inspired crafts. 

All ages are welcome, and we'd love to see you in your favourite Canada-themed gear. We'll ask you to pre-register so we know how much popcorn to get ready -- but feel free to pop in at any time during the event.
